The rooms come equipped with a fridge and microwave, which are convenient for storing snacks and quick meals. Plus, the comfortable beds in the newly decorated rooms make it an ideal spot for a decent night's sleep after a long day of adventures.
There were significant cleanliness issues. The shared bathroom shower didn't seem to be cleaned during my entire stay, less than acceptable. The room itself had a frost of coldness, the appliances like the kettle and microwave were notably dirty, and finding the electrics unplugged added to the inconvenience. The shower also had a tendency to fluctuate between scalding and freezing temperatures, and the dirty shower mat left much to be desired. It would have been nice to have a luggage room, but reception was often unmanned when I needed it. It just missed the mark.

The venue was set in the central position so close to shops, Southampton and the railway station. Also, Arcades could be reached without difficulty, 1 km away.

Friendly owners greeted us warmly and shared their journey of refurbishing the hotel, showcasing their hard work. The room was comfortable, though a couple of us experienced differing levels of refurbishment. The location was perfect for our event, close enough to walk. A delicious cooked breakfast in the morning was a highlight, alongside clean communal facilities to prepare meals.
